Why ear tubes for children with chronic otitis media are one of the biggest scams pediatricians have perpetrated on their patients in the last few decades.

Tonsillectomies used to be considered the most unnecessary surgical procedure the medical establishment had to put up with children.
For example, my husband had his tonsils removed in the 1970s to alleviate ear problems, as was common at the time. Almonds are an important lymphatic organ of the immune system! Why would you EVER do something that could weaken a child’s immune system for life?
The simple moneymaker of tonsillectomy was quickly replaced by tympanostomy (ear tubes) as parents began to educate themselves about just how useless (and harmful) tonsillectomies actually were.
See how this works?
Dupe the public for as long as possible with a technique that isn’t backed by scientific evidence, and when it no longer works, simply replace it with something else that’s similarly useless but continues the gravy train towards the doctor.
Am I cynical about modern medicine?
You can bet I am, which is why, after a single “good baby” visit with my first child, I’ve never gone back there…never.
I took my children to alternative, functionally-oriented physicians for all of their health needs from that point on.
I was very quick with the medical propaganda as a new mom in the late 1990s and have never looked back after escaping the medical matrix.
The non-science of ear tubes
Why are pediatricians and clueless ENT doctors pushing so hard for ear tubes?
That’s because they don’t have any other tools in their toolbox to treat chronic recurring middle ear infections, that’s why!
The suggestion of ear tubes is a sign that said doctor is ignorant of the very effective approach of using dietary changes coupled with non-invasive, non-toxic alternative therapies.
Homeopathic remedies specifically for ear infections can be particularly helpful in this regard.
Tip: Avoid doctors who work exclusively in the drug or surgical bubble like the plague.
Brainwashed robots who can only (arrogantly) regurgitate the medical propaganda they were taught in medical school, they are aware that their careers are nothing more than tools to line big pharma pockets, obviously completely unconscious.
In other words, they don’t read both sides of medical research to confirm whether or not what they’ve been taught is actually true.
Most worrying is that they don’t think for themselves.
RUN!
Tympanostomy rarely justified
Here’s the truth about ear tubes.
Controlled studies have shown that when both middle ears are infected and a tube is inserted into only one of them, the result is virtually identical for BOTH ears. (1)
If that wasn’t enough to convince you that ear tubes are worthless, consider what the experts reviewed International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology Reports:
Between two and five children need to be treated with tympanostomy tubes to prevent a child from developing acute middle ear infection (AOM) in six months. (2)
So…..up to FIVE children need to have ear tubes surgically inserted so that just ONE of those children doesn’t have a single episode of otitis media over a six month period?
No thank you!
Long-term risks of ear tubes
Not only are earplugs virtually worthless and nothing more than an easy money-making machine for the doctor, but there are serious long-term risks to the procedure!
The greatest risk is scarring and hardening of the eardrum, which is forcibly punctured during the procedure to facilitate drainage.
When this happens, permanent hearing loss can occur.
This is more than a little ironic considering ear tubes are warranted to ‘protect’ hearing from chronic otitis media.
Is the epidemic of speech disabilities today at least partly due to pediatricians and ENT doctors who are happy with their ear tubes?
In any case, I think that’s very likely.
One of the best pieces of advice on how to deal with a middle ear infection comes from Dr. Given to Robert Mendelsohn MD.
He recommends waiting 48 hours before calling the doctor if your child has an ear infection. His reason for doing this is because:
There is no meaningful immediate treatment that your doctor can offer that you cannot perform yourself. (3)
During this 48-hour wait, relieve pain and pressure by doing the following.
apply heat
Warm heat applied to the affected ear provides quick relief.
To do this, use a heating pad or a reusable wheat bag (cloth filled and sealed with unground wheat grains).
I prefer wheat bags because heating pads introduce EMF to the head area.
To use a wheat bag, microwave with 1/2 cup water for 1-2 minutes until medium to the touch.
ear drops
A few drops of warm olive oil mixed with garlic in the affected ear will provide additional relief. They can be used alone or in conjunction with heat as described above.
Here’s how to make your own garlic ear oil drops for maximum potency and potency. You can also make it quick if needed!
Avoid aspirin, Tylenol, and ibuprofen
Painkillers have long-term health effects, especially in children who have not yet developed the blood-brain barrier.
For example, using paracetamol increases a child’s risk of asthma by 40%, even if it’s only used once a year! With once-monthly use, the risk increases to 540%.
Resist the urge to reach for a bottle of over-the-counter pills!
Try homeopathy
In my experience, homeopathy is particularly effective for acute illnesses such as an ear infection.
If your child is prone to otitis media, the best thing to have on hand are these 4 homeopathic remedies for ear infections:
Make dietary changes
After the immediate crisis passes, consider making dietary changes to avoid future ear infections.
The most common culprit is pasteurized milk…in both the child and a nursing mother. (4)
Simply eliminating that one processed food from a child’s diet can make huge improvements in this regard!
Find local dairy sources near you here as a healthy alternative for ear infections that contain processed store-bought versions.
Switching the family to a traditional diet followed by healthy ancestral cultures is sure to bring further improvements as many children never get another ear infection again!
