What’s cooking this May?

What to cook with May #seasonal recipes

May is here! The plants are full of bright green leaves and I’m thriving in lots of sun. It’s time to plant our tomatoes, peppers and herbs and I’m hoping to give them some more attention this year. Grace is now old enough to start helping. She is very cute with her little green water can.

Several holidays are coming up. For Cinco de Mayo, browse Mexican recipes here (starting with guacamole and margaritas). For the Kentucky Derby, try a maple-sweetened mint julep or a strawberry-infused mint julep (start infusing the bourbon now). For Mother’s Day, check out my spring brunch roundup.

The farmers market will get more colorful every week this month. Below, you’ll find some of my favorite spring recipes to help us make the most of our fresh produce.
