Vivera has expanded its vegan range with three new meat alternatives – Vegeconomist

Uplegger has announced the launch of three new Vivera meat options. Range extensions include spicy vegan drumsticks, a vega, en schnitzel and a vegan fillet spinach and cheese option.

Already growing faster than the category in recent years, Vivera is edging closer to its self-imposed goal of occupying a spot among the top five brands in the meat alternative category. Right now, the 12.5 percent growth is almost double the overall segment (6.3 percent). The launch of three new products is expected to help achieve the target.

Constantin Upleger, managing director of Upleger Food GmbH, is convinced: “The three new products will inspire.” As the number of flexibles increases, so does the need for more diversity. Regardless of whether people are increasingly turning to plant-based meat alternatives for ethical, health or environmental reasons.

“Many simply want more variety on their plate. Vivera is meeting this need with three new products for more plant-based choices in spring 2023,” continues Upleger.

The use of new technologies and the continuous addition of results obtained from research and development form the basis for the optimization of existing products and the development of new ones, and are intended to help Vivera to be more similar to the taste and general structure of meat. Vivera is also committed to continuous improvement in sustainability and its motto is “Eat with curiosity”, encouraging people to join the “Goodness Movement”.

Vivara products are available through the Upleger Food Company for the German, Austrian and Swiss markets. Vivera Vegan Drumsticks come in a 216g package and Vivera Vegan Schnitzel and Vegan Filet Spinach & Cheese Alternative are packaged in 200g each, 6 pieces/carton.
