Do you fall for food trends? I am 100% guilty of this… Overnight Oats took the world by storm and I was obsessed. Then along came chia pudding, and you better believe I jumped on this bandwagon. I love how easy chia pudding is to make and how individual each batch can be!
This Berry Chia Pudding is the ultimate summer treat. Perfect for breakfast, as a snack or for dessert…I bet you’ll crave it regularly!
Why are chia seeds healthy?
Chia seeds are a powerful ingredient. Just 2 tablespoons of chia seeds contain 11 grams of fiber, 4 grams of protein, and 9 grams of fat (5 of which are omega-3 fatty acids). They are packed with antioxidants and can help with chronic inflammation and bone health. Chia seeds live up to their name “superfood”! (source)

Ingredients for berry chia pudding
- Non-Dairy Milk – I like to use almond milk or coconut milk But any non-dairy milk will work.
- Chia seeds – All chia seeds should work! If you find that your chia seeds are absorbing as much liquid as you would like, it may be time to buy new chia seeds!
- Berry – I used a mix of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. This recipe works either fresh or frozen! You can also add different berries like blackberries or mulberries.
- maple syrup – just a touch of this natural sweetener to balance out the berries. Honey or agave will also work.
- vanilla extract – a flavor enhancer to round off the recipe!
Fresh or frozen berries?
Either way works for this Berry Chia Pudding recipe! I personally like the texture of fresh berries, but frozen berries work just as well. I find that using fresh blueberries gives me more flavor if I mash them up a bit before adding them to the mix.

How to make berry chia pudding
STEP 1: Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl or mason jar. If mixing in a large bowl, place the mixture in a storage container with an airtight lid.
STEP 2: Refrigerate overnight or at least 8 hours to allow the chia seeds to absorb the liquid and flavor.
STEP 3: Enjoy cold!
Storage Instructions
You can store your chia pudding in your airtight container or mason jar in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. It will thicken over time so you can dilute it with non-dairy milk if needed.
