ingredients you need

Feel free to use all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour. Both work fine. Do not use alternative flour.
Granulated sugar provides sweetness. I have not tried this recipe with coconut sugar or a keto sweetener.
Both baking powder and baking soda will help the donuts rise.
Add a pinch of sea salt to balance out the sweetness.
Almond milk will help thin the batter. Use unsweetened milk. Feel free to use cashew milk, oat milk, coconut milk, or any other vegan milk.
Unsweetened applesauce replaces the need for eggs. In addition, it provides moisture and natural sweetness.
Melted coconut oil moisturizes. If desired, you can also use vegan butter.
Vanilla extract gives these vegan donuts a pleasant taste.
Make the icing from powdered sugar and vegan milk. If it’s too thick, add more milk. If it’s too thin, add more powdered sugar.

How to do
Step 1
First, preheat your oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Generously grease a donut mold with nonstick spray.
step 2
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and sea salt.

step 3
In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond milk, applesauce, melted coconut oil, and vanilla.
step 4
Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients. Stir until everything is well mixed.

step 5
Place the donut batter in a piping bag or resealable plastic bag and cut off the corner. Pour the batter into the greased donut pan, filling each cavity about ⅔.

step 6
Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the donuts are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
step 7
Take the donuts out of the oven. Let them cool down for a few minutes. Then turn the pan over and let the donuts cool on a wire rack.

step 8
While the donuts are cooling, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, cream together the powdered sugar and almond milk.

step 9
Once the vegan donuts have completely cooled, dip the top of each donut in the glaze. Drain excess glaze.

step 10
Finally, let the glaze harden. Surcharge!
Best Tips
For best results, prepare this vegan donut recipe exactly as directed.
Use enough non-stick spray to generously grease the donut mold.
Use any type of non-dairy milk.
The batter will be quite thick. It’s not runny like cake batter.
Use a piping bag to fill the batter into the greased mold.
Fill each cavity about ⅔ full.
Allow the donuts to cool completely before adding the glaze.
Whisk together the powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze. If it’s too thick, add a little more milk. If it’s too thin, add a little more powdered sugar.

portion

If the icing is provided as a side, guests can drizzle it over the donuts if they like.
For a complete breakfast offering, serve them alongside oatmeal muffins, air fryer fries, and vegan banana bread.
storage
- If you plan to serve the vegan donuts within a few hours, keep them in a covered container at room temperature to keep them fresh.
- For long-term storage, make sure the donuts are completely cool. Condensation can form on warm donuts, making them mushy. Place the donuts in an airtight container, with parchment paper or wax paper between layers to prevent sticking. Then store the container in a cool, dry place, such as B. in a pantry or cupboard away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Store at room temperature for up to 24 hours due to icing. Then store in the fridge.
- Allow the donuts to come to room temperature in the refrigerator before serving again for the best texture and flavor.
- Do not freeze the donuts.
Vegan donuts usually taste best when they are fresh. Therefore, try to consume them within a day or two for maximum enjoyment.
