Vegan Cream Cheese Ingredients
- Raw cashews: I soak raw cashews Soak overnight so that they are soft, then drain the water before mixing.
- Water: Use fresh water, not water from soaked cashews.
- Lemon juice: I like to use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
- Apple Cider Vinegar: Apple cider vinegar provides acidity and flavor for the sour side of the cream cheese.
- White miso paste: White miso paste provides the savory ingredient.
- Salty: Add salt to taste; This is a personal choice.
Substitute vegan cream cheese ingredients
- Try flax seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds or silken tofu as an alternative to cashews.
- If fresh lemon juice is not available, use bottled lemon juice.
