Get ready to experience the magic of vegan apple honey! It’s a vegan alternative to traditional honey that’s simple, delicious and easy to make with just a few ingredients.

As a vegan, it can be a challenge to find substitutes for some of our favorite non-vegan ingredients. And for me, one of those ingredients is honey. So I tried making my own vegan honey, and I have to say, it’s pretty awesome!
It is a perfect alternative to traditional honey, made by bees. Not only is this vegan version cruelty-free, it’s also super delicious.
How to make vegan apple honey
First of all, let’s talk about the ingredients. You will need apple juice, sugar, a chamomile tea bag and lemon juice. This is! It’s a simple recipe. But the end result is a thick, syrupy concoction that tastes like honey (or at least close enough to me).

To make the vegan apple honey, simply throw all four ingredients into a large saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for about 40 minutes. You can remove the tea bag after the first ten minutes. You want to stir frequently to make sure everything is well combined and doesn’t burn on the bottom.

The longer you simmer it, the thicker it will be. Just make sure you keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn.
And that’s it! Now you have your own vegan apple honey. It’s perfect for drizzling on vegan pancakes or adding to your morning oats or granola. It’s also great for baking or as a sweetener in your tea or coffee.

Tips and variations
It adds extra flavor.
For a little extra flavor, try adding a teaspoon of ground cinnamon, nutmeg, or ginger to the mix before simmering.
Make it sweeter.
If vegan honey isn’t sweet enough for you, you can add a little more sugar to the mix.

Storage of vegan honey.
This vegan apple honey can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a month. I’ve heard of people storing it for up to 6 months, but I’ve tried it for that long because we always run out!
I hope you enjoy making and using this vegan apple honey as much as I do. It’s a great alternative to traditional honey and is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. Good cuisine!
