Wake up to a breakfast already made with these Strawberry Cream Overnight Oats! Thick-cut oats are soaked in milk, yogurt, chia seeds, and fresh strawberries overnight, then topped with more strawberries, hemp hearts, and shavings of white chocolate the next morning. A healthy, wholesome and quick breakfast. This recipe makes enough for 1 person, but can easily be doubled for 2 people.
Want an easy breakfast that’s delicious, healthy, and filling? I HAVE YOU.
Overnight oats are easy to make the night before so you can enjoy them the next morning. There’s little prep, no cooking, and time works in your favor so you can be successful the next day. I’m an overnight oats girlie and have already shared some of these recipes. Today’s recipe serves 4 people and over the years I’ve shared recipes for a Tropical Banana Macadamia Nut, this incredible Vanilla Peach version, and my first overnight oats recipe ever, a banana bread recipe.
Apparently I love the combination of fresh fruit and creamy oatmeal.
And this one is no exception.
To make these Strawberries and Cream Overnight Oats you will need:
- old-fashioned oatmeal – These work best for overnight oats.
- milk – I use unsweetened vanilla oat milk. If using plain milk, add a small splash of vanilla extract.
- Strawberry yogurt – I like to use a high-protein Greek yogurt.
- Chia seeds – And an excellent source of fiber. It also helps thicken the oatmeal.
- strawberries – Adds a fresh, sweet taste.
- maple syrup – Adds a touch of sweetness.
optional toppings:
- sliced strawberries
- hemp hearts
- grated white chocolate
- extra maple syrup
The night before, in a jar or container, add 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, and 2 small to medium chopped strawberries.
Next add 2 tablespoons strawberry yogurt and 1 to 2 teaspoons maple syrup or to taste.
Pour in 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla oat milk. If using regular milk, add a small splash of vanilla extract.
Stir well until everything is well mixed.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
You can uncover it the next morning and either enjoy it cold or warm it up in the microwave.
I garnish my cake with more strawberries, some hemp hearts and a touch of shaved white chocolate. You can add a dollop of yogurt and other toppings if you like.
