Tony’s choice

Our founder Tony Cappellano passed away suddenly last year, but he remains the head and heart of the Boom Breakfast family. He opened the first Boom location in 2003 on College Street in Toronto. Not surprisingly, there is a sandwich named after this legend!

Mafalda (“Muffy”) met Tony in 1994 at the Mars Diner in Toronto, where they both worked. They continued to work very closely together at the locations of College, St. Clair and Eglinton Boom for nearly twenty years as business and life partners. When it’s time to sit down to lunch, Muffy chooses the Benny Boom.

Tony’s niece Connie is an integral member of the management team. He began working at Boom alongside James, who managed the College St. location. as a server in 2008. After a few years, she became more involved in operations and soon became a partner at the Vaughan Boom Breakfast & Co. location.

Lena works at the Boom Breakfast St location. Clair since 2017 and has worked alongside her uncle Tony for years. Lena wears many hats, including hostess, barista, server and team coach.
