Ceremonial Chocolate Recipe

This chocolate made with ceremonial cacao is simple to make and has all the benefits of ceremonial cacao without the need to make a fresh cup every time you want it!

Be careful: Ceremonial Cacao is a powerful stimulant. I don’t recommend eating it within four hours of going to bed. I made that mistake and stayed up until 3am running around. Although I felt tired the next day, it was actually worth it.

Ceremonial Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup ceremonial cacao, chopped (Cacao Lab pure cacao is great for this, but you can also use Ora Cacao discs, either plain or with added herbs, mushrooms and spices). Here is a list of all my favorite brands of ceremonial cocoa. you can buy online).
  2. 1/3-1 cup cocoa butter – These cocoa butter wafers are great (adjust the amount based on how intense and dark you like your chocolate)
  3. 1/2-1 cup coconut sugar or other sweetener of your choice (adjust amount depending on how sweet you want it)
  4. 1/4 teaspoon sea salt and 1/4 more to sprinkle on top
  5. Optional booster: 1 teaspoon reishi mushroom powder or another mushroom powder you like
  6. Topping Ideas: 1/2 cup total chopped toasted almonds, pistachios, roasted cashews, goji berries, sesame seeds, or any other nuts and seeds you like.

Indications:

  1. Place the chopped cocoa and cocoa butter in a metal bowl. Use a double boiler on a stove and melt over low heat. Keep whisking or stirring so the cocoa doesn’t burn.
  2. Once melted, turn off the heat.
  3. Add sweetener and stir until smooth.
  4. Add sea salt.
  5. If adding mushroom powder, add it now and mix well.
  6. Prepare your molds. Make sure the sweetener is constantly mixed (coconut sugar tends to float to the bottom). Pour the chocolate paste into molds. If you don’t have chocolate molds, you can use lids, lids or ice cube trays.
  7. Sprinkle the ingredients evenly, including extra sea salt if you like a little salt with your chocolate.
  8. Put in the fridge for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate hardens.
  9. Enjoy! Set an intention before you eat, if that speaks to you.
  10. Store in the fridge in a jar or other container until your ceremonial chocolate is finished ♥️
