From salads to stir-fries, pasta and more, these recipes were in the top 10 readers’ favorite recipes of 2022!
Happy New Year – I hope you had a fabulous end to the holiday season!
Ours felt fuller than ever β in a mildly stressful way (does crying in the car before a media event count as stressed?!), but also in a genuinely wonderful way. We went to the Nutcracker ballet with Gwen and my niece, my mother and I attended a Mannheim steamroller concert on Christmas Eve, Ben and I threw our first Christmas party, and I played Amy Grant so much that Gwen knew the lyrics to Tender Tennessee by heart Christmas, haha.
All in all I was excited to get the house delivered and cleaned out and to welcome the new year with open arms. 2022 has been a year of books, both personally and professionally, and I’m so excited for what 2023 has in store!
Before we move on, I want to share the top 10 new recipes in 2022 as ranked by your clicks, views, and shares. This is my favorite post of the year because I love seeing what YOU loved!
This was a special year for IGE as I started working with an old blogger buddy turned food photographer to take on the photography of my recipes. Together, Ashley and I have posted dozens of new recipes this year and updated photos for oldie-but-goodie recipes like Caprese Skewers, Crock Pot Chicken and Wild Rice Soup, Pasta Pomodoro, Gluten Free Sugar Cookies, Gluten Free Baked Potatoes, and more. As you know, we eat with our eyes first. Having photos that really show how delicious these existing recipes are was a HUGE highlight of 2022.
Let me know as we head into the new year if you have any recipe requests! What would you like to see more of? i am here to help π
Last thing – are you on my email list? It’s totally free and the best way to stay up to date with new recipes as they are released, as well as weekly updates with seasonal/hot recipes. I would like you! Just register below.
Without further ado – let’s get on with it!

#5 Spicy Tuna Roll Shell
In 2022, food and meal prices skyrocketed – I think that had a lot to do with the success of my Spicy Tuna Roll Bowls. All the flavor of a restaurant’s spicy tuna roll, prepared with staples from the fridge and pantry. Absolutely delicious!

I loved watching you all cook this easy sheet pan recipe in 2022. Some served it up to society because it’s so pretty, while others used it as a quick and easy way to get a protein and vegetarian meal on the table because it cooks in just 15 minutes. YES, 15 minutes!!
