Pinwheel Sandwich Recipe – this pinwheel sandwich is loaded with turkey, bacon and cheese. Super easy appetizer or even a grab-and-go lunch idea that you can have ready in no time!
No matter the time of year, you always need some good appetizer recipes that you can put together in no time. And these Pinwheel Sandwiches are ready in minutes, and they could double as a take-out lunch for the week, too!
So easy, you can easily mix the fillings, add veggies, switch cheeses, etc. to make them exactly how your family likes.

Why you will love this recipe
- These are perfect for parties as you can make them the day before and then simply slice and place on a plate when ready to serve!
- Do you have leftovers or need some lunch for you and the kids this week? Make these, then just pop a few in your lunch box and you’ll have your lunch all week long in seconds!
- The filling is so easy, you can just mix and match however you like! I used turkey, bacon, and cheddar cheese. You could change that, add peppers, add pickles, use whole wheat tortillas… the possibilities are endless.

what you will need
- Cream Cheese – You can use full fat or 1/3 less fat, both work well in this recipe
- Ranch Dressing – This adds flavor to the cream cheese and thins it out to make it spreadable. You can use Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix to make your own if you don’t want to use store-bought.
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese – You could use slices and serve with the turkey if you like, I like to mix it in the dressing but either way works.
- Sliced bacon
- Green Onion
- Sliced Turkey – any type of deli turkey you like, you just want to make sure it’s thinly sliced.
- Tortillas

- In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, ranch dressing, scallions, cheddar cheese, and chopped bacon until smooth and combined.
- Arrange the tortillas on a surface in front of you so you can spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over them. You should leave some space around the edge as it will spread out a little when you roll it up.
- Arrange the turkey slices on the cream cheese mixture.
- Roll up tightly, wrap in cling film and place in the fridge for a few hours.
- When ready to serve, cut into slices about 1/2 inch thick.

Absolutely! Ideally, you should let them set in the fridge for at least 2 hours before slicing. This will tighten everything up so they stay together when you cut them. You can definitely make them the day before and then slice them to serve. I also slice them up and then put them in individual containers for people to have lunch for 3-4 days. If you’re adding ingredients like lettuce or tomato, which can get mushy and change the texture, you should avoid doing so.
They will keep in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3-4 days.

recipe tips
- Be sure to soften the cream cheese. You want to mix the cream cheese with the ranch dressing and other ingredients and mix well before spreading on the tortilla. If you try this when the cream cheese is straight out of the fridge it will be very difficult.
- Don’t skip the chilling time. Cooling time helps these pinwheels stay together. Otherwise, they tend to curl up and can only be more difficult to manage if you slice and serve them right away.
- Get creative – try these ham and cheese rolls for a different flavor or use whatever meat and cheese you like. Many people also like to add cucumber relish or peppers. Lots of options to customize it the way you like it.
