My grandma lived a long life and therefore decided to retire from the kitchen. However, she is still a gracious host and whenever I visit her she asks me if I would like something to eat. Although she will also add, “Remember I don’t cook anymore so someone else has to do it.” I’ll laugh and assure her it’ll be fine.
In fact, I come from a large family of enthusiastic cooks and there is never a shortage of helping hands in the kitchen. One of those cooks is my uncle. . .
