Oven S’mores – Dinner, Dishes and Desserts

Oven S’mores – You don’t need a campfire to make s’mores! Make 1 or 20 in just minutes with the oven!

If you’re like me you love s’mores, but having a fire outside just isn’t always possible. There are only a few months of the year when there is a fire. Also, I live in Colorado and most of these months we have a fire ban because it’s so dry.

So indoor s’mores is the best alternative! Just minutes, no mess and just as good!

Why you will love this recipe

  • No mess. Ok, you still have sticky marshmallows but no fire, wood, ash, messy sticks, etc to clean up!
  • Ready in minutes! Seriously, from turning on the oven to enjoying a s’more probably takes 8 minutes at most.
  • You can use any crackers or chocolate you like! I went classic with graham crackers and Hershey bars, but you can use Ritz crackers and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups or Caramelo for that gooey caramel…the possibilities are endless!
  • Make just 1 or 20, you’re only limited by the number of crackers and ingredients you have. But it’s so easy to make exactly what you want.

Oven S’mores

The perfect s’mores for any day of the week. You usually think of them as a summertime treat when you’re camping, at the beach, or just hanging out with friends. But you can really make them in minutes and enjoy them anytime the cravings hit!

S’mores cookie bars, s’mores brownies, and even these s’mores cookies are a great way to bring flavor into other dessert forms. But sometimes you just want the classic s’more with a perfectly toasted marshmallow!

what you will need

  • Graham crackers
  • Hershey candy bar
  • Marshmallows

I use S’mores sized marshmallows for this, but you can use the traditional size. It really doesn’t matter, use what you have!

  4. Remove from the oven and place the other half of a cracker over the marshmallows.

recipe tips

  • You really need to keep an eye on them when they’re in the oven. When you want the perfectly soft, gooey, and golden brown marshmallow, place the tray on the bottom rack. It takes about 2 minutes but is perfectly golden when you take it out.
  • Like dark burned marshmallows? Place them on the top rack and let them steep for about 1 minute.
  • Mix chocolate and crackers together. Ritz crackers, Pb cups, caramel filled candy, dark chocolate, caramel drizzle…so many possibilities!
