Ingredients needed for the orange cake:
all purpose flour
Salt
baking powder
baking powder
eggs
Fresh orange or orange peel
White granulated sugar
olive oil
orange juice
orange or vanilla extract
buttermilk
Ingredients for Drizzle:
orange juice
granulated sugar
Ingredients glaze:
powdered sugar
milk
This is a very easy recipe and would make a wonderful addition to any wedding party, baby shower, brunch, etc. If you’ve been following us for a while you know that we love to make bread cakes as they are a little dessert and are great with coffee. Orange cake
This orange cake is easy to make and so refreshing!
Servings: 6 portions
Cake ingredients:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 eggs
- Zest of 1 orange, or about 2 tablespoons of orange zest
- 1 Cup white granulated sugar
- 3/4 Cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoon orange juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
- 1 Cup buttermilk
Ingredients for Drizzle:
- 2 tablespoon orange juice
- 2 tablespoon white granulated sugar
Ingredients glaze:
- 1/2 Cup powdered sugar
- milk

Whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in a mixing bowl.

In another bowl, combine eggs, orange zest, white sugar, olive oil, orange juice, orange or vanilla extract, and buttermilk with a stand mixer. Mix with flour and mix with mixer.

Spray a 9 x 5 loaf pan and add batter. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until center tests are done.

Before you take it out of the pan while still hot, add drizzle at the bottom. Let cool for 10 minutes and remove from the pan.
