A deliciously cheesy macaroni rarely disappoints. After all, who could say no to this rich, soft, and perfectly seasoned pasta? What a lot of people also like about this dish is that it exudes a sense of coziness — a taste that reminds us of home from eating so much of it as kids. But some cooks who prefer not to use the oven might deviate from the recipe. That’s why I’ve developed a suitable alternative, where you only need your pot and stove! Try these no-bake macaroni with me!

What does no-bake macaroni taste like?
When it comes to macaroni, we often think of the baking method almost immediately. While this definitely works great too, I suggest you try a different way of preparing this ingredient. By using your saucepan, you can create a softer, more tender style of macaroni that pairs really well with our delicious corned beef and cheddar cheese. But if you like your pasta on the firm side, you might prefer it baked.
But delving further into the flavor of this dish, we get a nice and satisfying taste of our homemade corned beef in pasta sauce. Of course, we can also count on onion and garlic to further enhance the flavor of the dish.
Now that you have an idea of the end result, let’s jump right into making this from home!
How to make macaroni without baking
1. Prepare the macaroni
- Cooking the Elbow Macaroni – You will need 1 pound of this ingredient. Use the package directions to find out how long to cook this with your pot and water. Once your macaroni is done cooking, you can simply drain your water.
2. Prepare sauce
- Sauté Onion and Garlic – Pour 3 tablespoons cooking oil into a clean wide saucepan. Then you should just let them heat up. Proceed to add 1 onion that you chopped and 5 cloves of garlic that you chopped. Now you can just sauté your ingredients together and keep going until the onion is just soft enough.
- Incorporating the Corned Beef – It’s time to add 520 grams of corned beef the CDO Home Style way! Then just boil it all up while stirring every now and then. This would take about 3 to 5 minutes. After that, you can just sprinkle in salt and ground black pepper to taste.
3. Combine macaroni and sauce
- Add our cooked macaroni – Place those in the pot as well, then gently toss together. We will continue to cook while tossing another 2 minutes.
- Serving the dish – Then you can already arrange everything that you have cooked on a serving plate. For our topping, we use ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese and 2 teaspoons chopped parsley.

Now you are done! Just know that eating it hot out of the pot is absolutely best. How about checking out some options for dishes to complement our macaroni?

peach pie
With just the right amount of sweetness, peach pie makes a great dessert for all types of main dishes! I love this because it has that beautiful golden crust as well as an extremely juicy, flavorful interior from our sliced peaches. The already delicious, sugary fruit gets a cool taste upgrade with our slightly sour lime juice. This is also pretty easy and quick to make as it will take you less than an hour of your time! My recipe also serves a party of 6, so it should be great to bring to your next party or gathering.
