As previously written, this spice blend contains dill seeds, but feel free to add herbed dill if you have that in your cupboard.

Spicy – Increase the heat by doubling or even tripling the red pepper flakes.

Want a whiff of smoke? Add 1 tablespoon smoked paprika powder instead of the regular paprika.

Like garlic? This homemade steak seasoning could use a double hit of garlic powder.

Prefer less salt? Omit the salt and add 1/4 teaspoon at a time until desired salt level is reached.
