Maple Cinnamon Apples – JSHealth

My latest recipe creation combines speed and sweet pleasure in an absolutely heavenly apple preparation. With thin slices of apple that roast golden brown in minutes, I love this for a quick breakfast or healthy dessert.

Pro tip: I like to add some nuts or granola for the crunch factor and an extra boost of nutrients. Divine!

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple, cut into thin wedges
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 sprigs of thyme, leaves picked

Serve:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt or non-dairy coconut yogurt

Method:

Heat the coconut oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the apple slices and sauté for 1 minute, stirring to coat evenly with the oil.

Add the vanilla, maple, cinnamon, and thyme leaves and stir to coat the apples. Fry for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and caramelized.

Serve with yoghurt of your choice.
