Lemon Lavender Lamb Chops | Homesick Texans

“You really are a Texan,” said another guest at a group dinner at College Station one spring evening. He was referring to my choice of beef over lamb. I laughed and said that since my family hadn’t grown up with lamb, it wasn’t actually my usual fondness. He nodded and said I’m not alone. In his experience, he hadn’t met many Texans who loved lamb.
