We all have that one food that we love so much that we will eat it anytime and anywhere. For Kourtney Kardashian, that meal is vegan chicken from Daring Foods. And she’ll eat it anywhere, including the bathroom.
Karashian recently took to her Instagram to share a few photos of her life, including one shot of a slightly messy bathroom with a plate of vegan chicken, burgers, salad, fruit and two bottles of champagne. A bag of chicken guts can be seen under a towel on the floor and a burger is held in a soap holder by the tub.
The post was quickly swarmed with comments calling for Kardashian to eat in the bathroom and put food on the toilet and floor near the tub. However, not all comments were negative, with one fan pointing out that it’s “the same difference” when people take their phones into the bathroom and then use them to take photos of their food.
“People are talking about bath dishes like your toilet is not in the same room as your tub,” said another commenter. “You’ve never ordered room service and eaten in the tub? Then you are not really my friend.”
Kourtney Kardashian’s Favorite Vegan Chicken
Travis Barker and Kardashian’s love affair with Dare of Vegan Chicken began last year when the couple first partnered with the brand on a “Sauce” campaign.

Since she started dating longtime vegan Barker, the entrepreneur has been eliminating animal products from her diet—and admitted to being about 95 percent vegan in a 2021 Push blog post.
“I’ve been on a health and wellness journey for the past 13 years, which has made me very conscious of what I put in my body and my children’s bodies,” Kardashian said in a statement at the time. “I’m not a complete vegan, but Travis has helped me keep a mostly plant-based diet, which is a lot easier with courage.”

The first bold campaign was, as the company’s name suggests, quite racy. Celebrity photographer Ellen Von Unwerth photographed Kardashian and Barker in bathrobes in their limo and hotel room (at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood) shortly after their Las Vegas getaway.
And their love for each other was matched only by their love for Daring’s Vegan Chicken.
“I honestly can’t believe how much it tastes like chicken,” Kardashian said. “There are a lot of plant proteins out there, but we’re always looking for options that are super clean with all-natural ingredients. That’s why I love adventure.”
Last week, in an effort to ignore the trolls, Kardashian explained on her Instagram stories that the bathroom shot was a behind-the-scenes look at her daring campaign. “Comment on this photo,” he wrote, followed by 10 rolling eye emojis She also shared another photo of the scene taken by Von Unwerth where the couple is enjoying food and drinks inside a bathtub.
Travis Barker also makes bold choices
Barker became a vegetarian after surviving a tragic plane crash in 2009, and is an avid supporter and investor in plant-based businesses, including the restaurant Crossroads Kitchen—which recently expanded to her Calabasas neighborhood—and the fast-food chain Monty’s Good Burgers ( (where Travis Oat) matcha latte shakes recently hit the menu).

“I haven’t eaten meat since I was 13, so really good plant protein is important to me. Courage is great because it’s super clean and has all-natural ingredients,” Barker said in a statement at the time.
“When I was fully vegetarian 15 years ago, the options were basically straight vegetables, so I’m excited to see more plant-based choices on the menu,” she said. “That’s why I invested in Crossroads Kitchen and Monty’s, and this partnership with Ken Daring felt so right for Court and me.”
Last year, the pair boldly continued their long-term relationship with a fun pool party idea. The ’50s-themed party featured a walk-up window where guests were treated to Daring’s fried chicken and French fries with Gochujong ketchup and vegan ranch. Hors d’oeuvres trays showcased plant-based chicken as a ’50s protein inspired spread of cobb salad and plant chicken and sliders served on “bird dogs”—or mini hot dog buns and all the fixins. The star was also bold in the Fresh Chicken Salad Cucumber Cup.
“From the moment our partnership with Courtney and Travis began there was a clear alignment between Daring’s mission and their personal beliefs about plant-based eating and its positive impact on the environment,” Ross McKay, CEO and founder of Daring Foods, previously told VegNews.
Brave new vegetarian chicken dish
In the United States alone, more than 9 million chickens are slaughtered for meat each year, and nearly all are kept in deplorable conditions on factory farms. Polluting industry is also a major contributor to the climate crisis.
brave food
Mackay founded Brave with a clear mission in mind: to eliminate the need to produce chicken meat the traditional way by replacing it with nearly identical plant-based chicken alternatives. And working with celebrity endorsers—including, for the bold, Drake and Naomi Osaka—gets the message to more people, and faster.
Currently, the company offers original, Cajun, Teriyaki, Lemon & Herb, Buffalo and Breaded varieties of plant chicken. This year, Daring will expand into the frozen meals category with four varieties of Plant Chicken-powered plant-based frozen meals: Teriyaki Bowls, Fajita Bowls, Penne Primavera Pasta Bowls and Autumn Harvest Bowls.

Daring previewed its upcoming frozen meals at the recent trade show Natural Products Expo West, and VegNews editors raved about their taste. We are brave enough to eat them in the bathroom.
