This Instant Pot Fried Rice recipe is the perfect one-pot meal for when you “run out of food” at home! It consists of white rice, frozen vegetables, egg and a simple fried rice sauce.

We love one pot meals and this Instant Pot Fried Rice won’t disappoint. It’s prepared entirely in the Instant Pot, meaning you don’t have to cook your rice on the stovetop. Pressure cook the white rice, add the frozen veggies, stir in the egg and toss with the sauce!

What you need
One of the best parts about this recipe is that it calls for frozen veggies.
- White Rice: For this recipe, we recommend using uncooked jasmine rice. If you want to use brown rice, do it! Just follow our tutorial HERE.
- Frozen vegetables: a whole 10 oz. One bag of frozen vegetables is needed for this recipe.
- eggs: You need 3 large eggs.

Fried rice sauce
Fried Rice Sauce is super easy to make at home! The base for this is soy sauce, but you’ll also need sesame oil, honey, chili garlic sauce, fish sauce, and rice vinegar.
Make it sharp: If you want to make this recipe spicier, we recommend doubling the chili garlic sauce.

How to Make Instant Pot Fried Rice
With just a handful of ingredients, you can have this veggie-stuffed Instant Pot Fried Rice in under 30 minutes!
- make sauce: Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl and whisk.
- Cook rice: Place the water, rice, and oil in the Instant Pot. Cook under high pressure for 3 minutes and then naturally dissolve for 8 minutes,
- steamed vegetables: Add the frozen vegetables and sauce and turn on the roast function. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Scrambled eggs: Push the rice and vegetables aside and stir in the eggs until fully cooked.
- Throw: Arrange everything together and serve immediately.

Store leftover fried rice in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days.
Ingredients
rice
- 1 Cup long grain white rice jasmine or basmati
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or any oil
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
Fried rice
- 10 oz. frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or any oil
- 3 Big Eggs whisked
Other
- 2-3 tablespoon diced spring onions
- Optional: ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Place all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl and whisk together until combined. Put aside.

Rinse the white rice under cold water for 2 to 3 minutes or until the water runs clear. Transfer the rice to the Instant Pot. Add the water, oil and salt to the rice and stir.

Cook the rice under high pressure for 3 minutes, then allow the pressure to naturally release for 8 minutes before releasing the rest of the pressure.

Fluff the rice with a fork. If there is excess water in the pot, cover the pot and allow the rice to absorb the water.

Add the mixed vegetables to the rice and toss. Turn on the fry function and add the fried rice sauce. Mix the ingredients together and let the rice and vegetables cook for 2-3 minutes.

Push the vegetables to one side of the pot and add the olive oil to the pot. Pour the whisked eggs into the saucepan and beat the eggs until light and fluffy, 4-5 minutes.

Carefully fold the eggs into the fried rice and vegetables.

Place the fried rice in a bowl and garnish with chopped spring onions and salt.
Tips & Hints

- You can use different types of vegetables for this fried rice.
- If you want to add more flavor to the sauce, add 1-2 teaspoons Sriracha.
