Prepare baked potatoes in the Instant Pot (in 3 steps)
- Prepare potatoes: Wash potatoes and pat dry. Then rub the potatoes with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- poke holes: Use a fork to poke a few holes in each potato.
- pressure cooker: Pour water at the bottom of your Instant Pot and place the metal rack inside. Then place the potatoes on the grid.

Place a metal rack in the Instant Pot and add 1 cup of water.

Using a sharp fork or knife, carefully poke 4-6 holes in each potato. Drizzle each potato with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Transfer the potatoes to the metal rack and cover the Instant Pot. Cook the potatoes under high pressure for 18 minutes.

Release the pressure naturally for 5 minutes, and then quickly release the remaining pressure. The potatoes are done when they are al dente. If the potatoes aren’t done yet, cook them on high pressure for another 3-5 minutes. The timing depends on how big your potatoes are.

Serve immediately with your desired baked potato toppings.
