What is a funnel cake?
Well, it’s actually not a cake at all! Ha! It is actually a batter very similar to pancake batter, deep fried and topped with powdered sugar or many other delicious toppings. Funnel cakes are sold at county fairs and amusement parks and are always a big hit. They’re actually really easy to make and absolutely delicious.

Well, the traditional powdered sugar will always be a winner, but we love any fruit, too. You can add strawberries, pineapple, blueberries, etc. whatever you like. You can also use fresh fruit or a pie filling (cherry works really well), both are delicious. Just don’t forget the whipped cream!
Lots of people enjoy it too hot fudge sauce, caramel topping, cinnamon sugar or a large scoop of ice cream! All are delicious and that’s what makes funnel cakes so fun, you can enjoy them however you like.
