How I fit into my Macros + Meal Hacks
I like to eat macro-based throughout the day. I find it helps me ensure I’m getting enough of each key macronutrient each day and that my metabolism is constantly working for me and not against me. That being said, I have a few meal hacks starting with Daily Harvest as a base to ensure I meet these goals.
Smoothies: Daily Harvest offers a variety of smoothies, all packed with fruits, vegetables, seeds, and oats. To increase protein levels, I add a scoop of either vanilla or chocolate protein powder to my Daily Harvest Smoothie as well as my liquid to meet my protein goals. My favorites are Banana + Greens, Strawberry + Peach, and Acai + Cherry.

Harvest Bowls: My lunch option when I’m in the house or on the run are these Harvest Bowls. They take 4 minutes to reheat in the microwave and are so easy to customize to meet my goals. I like to add shredded chicken, 2 eggs, or even fried shrimp. My favorite bowls are Broccoli + Cheez, Sweet Potato + Wild Rice or Butternut Squash + Chimichurri.

Flatbread: Everyone loves a pizza, but what sets these flatbreads apart from the rest is the fact that the crust is made of veggies!!! They’re absolutely delicious and frankly, you can’t even tell it’s a veggie because they’re so flavorful and crunchy. I love adding a bit of cheese as well as shredded chicken to boost the protein in these dishes. My favorites are the Sweet Potato + Kale Flatbread or the Portobello + Pesto.

Harvest baking: These bakes are a newer collection from Daily Harvest, but honestly one of my favorites. I’m really obsessed with the Cremini + Paprika Ropa Viejo Bake. They can easily be an accompaniment to your baked salmon or grilled chicken, or go really fancy with a steak.
