Easy honey roasted peanuts recipe that makes a healthy substitute for commercial versions with sketchy additives.

Peanuts roasted in honey are a popular commercial snack. They are particularly common at airports as a semi-healthy snack while waiting to board a plane or in flight.
However, if you’ve ever checked the ingredients, you’re probably in for a surprise (and unfortunately, not a good one).
High fructose corn syrup with feigned “natural” flavors is a common substitute for real honey.
Even with the few brands that contain real honey, the honey is heated during processing, which destroys its beneficial properties anyway π
If you like honey roasted peanuts, you’ll be amazed at how easy it is to make them at home.
Then just fill a travel container with your DIY variety and stash it in your carry-on. This way you won’t be tempted to buy the fake versions at the airport!
serving suggestions
You absolutely must eat these Homemade Honey Peanuts with a spoon. So be sure to pack a bamboo travel cutlery set!
Note that it is ideal to use soaked peanuts that are lightly salted during the dehydrating process.
However, if time is a concern, using roasted organic nuts lightly seasoned with sea salt is an excellent substitute. It’s certainly a huge improvement over commercially roasted peanuts at the airport or convenience stores.
