Start by mixing together the yeast, sugar, and lukewarm water in a medium bowl and let sit for 5 minutes to activate the yeast. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt, then add the water, dissolved yeast, and olive oil. Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and place in an oiled bowl. Cover and let rest at room temperature for about an hour until doubled in volume.
Once the dough has risen, turn out onto a floured surface Roll out the dough into a rectangle And halve lengthways. Then, Cut each half into 1 inch strips. Rotate each strip Spread the dough and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rest for another 20-30 minutes. In the meantime, preheat the oven.
Next brush the grissini with a Mixture of olive oil, salt, oregano, parsley and garlic powder. This combination of flavors adds depth and complexity to the breadsticks, making them a truly delicious treat.
