Ingredients for healthy egg salad
Made with just 6 ingredients, this healthy egg salad is so delicious and made with all the basics. Here’s what you need:
- hard boiled eggs: You will need 8 hard boiled eggs for this recipe. Below are some of our favorite HBE methods.
- Greek yogurt: Greek yogurt is an alternative to using mayonnaise. Feel free to use any type of plain Greek yogurt.
- Mayonnaise: While we use some mayo for Greek yogurt, every egg salad deserves some mayo! Any kind works.
- Dijon mustard: Dijon mustard is such a wonderful flavor to add to this healthy egg salad recipe.
- Sriracha: Sriracha adds some spice to your salad.
- paprika: A hint of paprika gives this egg salad a certain smokiness.
How to make a healthy egg salad
Prepare hard-boiled eggs
First, prepare 8 hard-boiled eggs. There are many ways to do this, but we have 3 favorites:

peel eggs
Once your hard-boiled eggs are fully cooked and ready to go, it’s time to peel and chop them. If you’re chasing our hard-boiled eggs on the stovetop, we recommend leaving your eggs in an ice bath for a few minutes. It will help peel the eggs more easily.
Once you’ve hulled the gives, give them a nice coarse chop and place in a large bowl.
Add flavors
Add plain Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, sriracha, Dijon mustard, and paprika to eggs and mix together.
Use a wooden spoon or fork to mash up some of the eggs while leaving a bit chunkier to get the perfect egg salad consistency.
