This Frosted French Toast is fast becoming your favorite! First…it’s absolutely delicious, and second, it is SO EASY! This French toast is baked, which means you don’t have to stand in the kitchen in front of a hot pan or griddle. We love this dish because it’s simple enough for a quick breakfast and fancy enough for serving guests. It’s definitely a recipe you’ll make over and over again.
Ingredients needed for Frosted French Toast:
Thick bread, sliced (I use ours Sour Dough BreadYou could easily use French bread)
eggs
whipped cream
Cinammon
vanilla flavor
Frosted Flakes muesli
Recipe Notes:
- We use thick bread for this french toast because it holds the granola better. Just regular sandwich bread wouldn’t work best in this recipe.
- You can also chop pecans to sprinkle on top before going into the oven.
- We like to serve this french toast with a side of fresh fruit and a few slices of bacon.

Frosted french toast
This easy-to-bake French Toast is quickly becoming a favorite. It’s always delicious!
Servings: 4
- 4 slices of thick white bread We use our sourdough bread
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 Cup of heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla flavor
- 2 cups of frozen flakes
-
Preheat oven to 450. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, ground cinnamon, and vanilla. Place the Frosted Flakes in another shallow bowl (I crush them lightly so they stick to the bread more easily).
-
Place a slice of bread in the egg mixture covering both sides. Then put in the frosted flakes, brush both sides with the muesli and place on the baking sheet. Repeat with each slice of bread. Bake for 10-15 minutes until the bread is light brown. Serve with powdered sugar, syrup or fruit.
