Traditional eggnog is made with egg yolks, heavy cream and sugar. Today I am sharing with you a healthy recipe for Easy Vegan Oat Nog. This recipe is not only so healthy, but it tastes just as amazing and amazing as the traditional recipe.

To make this vegan eggnog, instead of heavy cream, I use my favorite non-dairy milk: oat milk. You can make homemade oat milk if you like, or I like to use Earth’s Own Barista Oats because it has a super creamy texture and really foams up when shaken or blended. With the oat milk you add cinnamon and nutmeg, which are both nice warming spices. And if you want that little eggy taste, you can add a pinch of black salt (also called kala nam), which has an eggy taste!

Serve this oat milk eggnog recipe over ice with or without alcohol for a treat this holiday season. If you want to try an even creamier vegan egg nog recipe, try my quick vegan coconut nog recipe which is similar but uses high fat coconut milk.

What kind of oat milk? To make oat nog, you can use my homemade oat milk recipe, or you can use store-bought oat milk. I used Earth’s Own Barista Oats because I love how creamy it is and how it foams up when shaken or blended.
Oat Milk Alternative: Feel free to substitute oat milk for your favorite plant-based milk like soy or almond.
