Crispy pork chops from the hot air fryer

These are the BEST, breaded Air fryer pork chops!! I took my favorite baked breaded pork chop recipe and adapted it for the air fryer. The chops taste even better in the air fryer because the breading is even crispier. The air fryer makes breaded food so crispy without deep frying, which is what a lot of us love about it, and this recipe is a great example of that! My other favorite breaded air fryer recipes include Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan, Fish Sticks with Lemon Caper Sauce, and Air Fryer Chicken Milanese.

How to prepare breaded pork chops in the air fryer

This easy boneless pork chops recipe cooks in the air fryer much faster than in the oven.

  1. Season the pork chops with salt.
  2. Dip them in egg wash
  3. Then the breadcrumbs – I used a mixture of panko crumbs, cornflake crumbs, parmesan and spices
  4. Spray both sides with oil
  5. Air fry in a single layer at 400°F in batches as needed for 12 minutes, turning halfway through

How do you hold the breading to the pork chop?

I use egg so the breading will stick to the pork chops, but if you’re allergic to egg or want to use something else, olive oil, mayonnaise, or Dijon mustard will do. Once in the egg, place them on top of the breadcrumbs and use your hands to press the crumbs in well, shaking off any excess. Set aside and repeat.
