My son is a super fan of Din Tai Fung restaurants, he loves their fried rice, dumplings, shrimp pancakes and steamed soup. As a result, it’s one of our favorite restaurants to dine at on the weekends since he was a toddler. And he asked me to replicate DTF food at home! 😅
Previously I tried to replicate their shrimp pancakes and xiao long bao. This time I tried to make her steamed chicken soup 元盅鸡汤, and I am happy that my son loves her and he says, “Very beautiful mom, it tastes like Din Tai Fung steamed soup”.
Preparing is easy with a few simple ingredients, here we share a time-saving shortcut method to prepare this delicate yet flavorful Chicken Soup.
Ingredients:

1 Kampong chicken thigh, blanched
1 stalk of spring onions
2-3 slices of ginger
1 scallop, optional (if using a large chicken thigh, omit that)
300 grams of hot water
Marinade:
1/2 tbsp rice wine

1. Marinate chicken for 15 minutes. Place all ingredients in a heatproof bowl/container and cover with a lid. Add water to Ninja Foodi inner pot – 2 cups level.
