The Chick-Fil-A Frosted Lemonade is a copycat of the famous fast food chain. It’s a milkshake and lemonade mix that’s refreshing and absolutely delicious! If you’ve never tried one, it’s definitely time to change that.

You know I LOVE a good copycat recipe. I’ll try everything from drinks to mains to sides… you name it! But being able to prepare your favorite dishes at home, sometimes a little healthier, almost always cheaper and with exactly the quality of the ingredients you like, is a win for me every day.
If you’ve never tried Chick-Fil-A’s Frosted Lemonade, it’s a sweet, slightly tart, almost milky shake. It’s a little thinner than a milkshake but it’s so refreshing and delicious and just what you need on a hot day!

What is frosted lemonade?
It’s really a cross between a lemonade and a milkshake. It’s made with vanilla ice cream and then either homemade lemonade (lemon juice and sugar) or your favorite lemonade is added. It all blends into a thick, creamy, sweet, tart, and utterly refreshing drink.
what you will need
Be sure to scroll down to the recipe card for measurements and full instructions!
- Vanilla Ice Cream – Whatever brand you like, it will work great
- lemon juice
- Sugar
- Water
You basically make a quick lemonade with fresh lemon juice and sugar. If you had some on hand, you could use pre-made lemonade instead.
How to make glazed lemonade
- lemonade. If you’re making your own lemonade, simply mix together the lemon juice and sugar and stir until the lemonade is completely dissolved. Add cold water and stir. This freshly squeezed lemonade is basically what you make.
- mixture. Place ice and lemonade in a blender and blend until smooth. If the ice is very thick, you may need to add a little more liquid to thin it out.
- Surcharge. Pour into a tall glass with a straw, or into a glass thick enough to enjoy with a spoon.
serving suggestions
This is a great summertime dessert for almost any meal! You want to serve it right away, it’s not something you can really make ahead of time. If you have any left over at the end, you can freeze it. To serve, however, you’ll need to partially thaw it and then blend again to achieve the same consistency. That being said, you could freeze the leftovers and eat them with a spoon like ice cream.
It’s thin enough that you can certainly drink through a straw, but just thick enough that you can use a spoon if necessary. Pour into a tall glass with a lemon wedge, a great treat for a party or just because.
can i make it juicy
Absolutely! Vodka Lemonade is one of my favorite summer cocktails. Super simple, yet refreshing and delicious. You can definitely add vodka for an adult-only version.
