We love this Cajun Shrimp Egg Salad. First of all, it’s so easy to make, and it’s delicious. This versatile dish can be customized to suit your family’s tastes. This recipe is perfect for a spring/summer get together, as an easy lunchtime sandwich, or even as a dip with crackers! I like to make this and serve it as sandwiches with fries. It’s just super easy and full of flavor!
Cajun Shrimp Egg Salad Ingredients:
Raw shrimp
butter
garlic powder
Cajun spice
Hard boiled eggs
Diced red onion
Chopped celery
mayonnaise
Yellow Mustard
Dijon mustard
pepper

Recipe Notes:
- You can use any Cajun seasoning you like or make your own with ours Recipe.
- You can add more or less Cajun seasoning depending on how much “spice” you like.
- Feel free to dice your shrimp to make smaller pieces if you like.
- Serve this as a sandwich on hoagie buns, Sourdough, or as a slider. You can do this plain white bread…it’s great for sandwiches!
- You can easily shred the shrimp and serve with crackers as a dip. It’s fabulous with triscuits.

Cajun Shrimp Egg Salad
This Easy Cajun Shrimp Egg Salad is a perfect sandwich! It’s a family favorite.
Servings: 4 portions
- 1/2 Pound of raw shrimp deveined, tail off and peeled
- 1 tablespoon from butter
- 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
- 3 tsp Cajun seasoning divided
- 6 hard boiled eggs chopped
- 1/3 Cup of diced red onions
- 1/3 Cup chopped celery
- 1/3 Cup of mayonnaise
- 1 tsp of yellow mustard
- 1 tsp of Dijon mustard
- 1/8 tsp of pepper
- 1/4 tsp from salt

Melt butter in a pan on the stove over medium-high heat. Combine garlic powder, 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Add shrimp and stir to coat. Cook in melted butter for 3 to 4 minutes, turning once. Shrimp should be pink when cooked. Place in the fridge to cool.

Mix together eggs, onion, celery, mayonnaise, mustard, pepper, salt, and the other 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning. Add the cold shrimp and mix in the egg mixture. Serve on hoagie buns or with crackers.
You can add less Cajun seasoning to make this dish less spicy. You can also shred the cold shrimp before adding them to the egg mixture.
