When I say I want “just a salad,” I mean something like this:
- A salad that is hearty
- A meaty salad
- A salad that’s loaded with veggies but tastes AMAZING you won’t be able to stop eating it
This Broccoli Salami Sweet Onion Salad hits all the right notes when you’re in the mood for a salad that will leave you full and satisfied.
Broccoli Salami Sweet Onion Salad: What You Need
broccoli: The base of this salad is broccoli. Use the whole broccoli, from florets to stem. (Next time you have extra broccoli stalks, make these cheesy broccoli chips!)
paprika: I found an offer for red, orange and yellow peppers. Feel free to use just one pepper color to save money.
Onion: The finer chopped, the better.
Sweet Vidalia onion dressing: Pick up a bottle of Sweet Onion Dressing (or Vidalia Sweet Onion) at the grocery store.
parmesan cheese: Don’t skimp on the cheese! I bought a plastic container of freshly grated parmesan cheese. I used about half of the container and put the rest in the freezer for future use. You can also grate your own cheese. Dried parmesan will work in a pinch.
