Brioso Coffee Long Street is my favorite stop for Coffee Downtown

Since I work downtown regularly, Brioso Coffee’s Long Street shop and roastery is one of my favorite stops. Brioso has been active for over 20 years, opening its first store on the northeast corner of Gay and High streets before moving to catty corner in 2020.

They added to their Long Street store and moved the roastery there in 2016.

Brioso is a favorite of mine not only because of their excellent roasts, but because of their cozy and quiet space and friendly bartenders.

I especially love that this store is relatively quiet (even with the toaster at work).

It’s not huge, but it has a collection of low and wooden communal tables, a couple of high tops and more comfortable chairs, perfect for relaxing with an espresso, reading or working.

It’s hard to go wrong with their entire coffee menu, but I’m especially partial to the Ohio Maple Latte. It’s great either hot or iced.

While you’re waiting in line, you can often watch the roaster at work.

Brioso’s coffee appears on the menus of cafes and coffee shops throughout the city. You can buy whole beans and brewing equipment at their shop; I especially love their Espresso Milano and Costa Rica roasts.

Brioso on Long Street is open Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 2:00pm, and Saturday 8:00am to 2:00pm.

You can read more about their new Gay and High Street store here.
