Beyond Meet announced The introduction of Beyond Pepperoni and the all-new Beyond Chicken Fillets to North American foodservice, the new products are said to differentiate animal-based meat flavors.
According to Beyond, more people are looking for plant-based pepperoni than ever before As for their favorite restaurants, 53% of surveyed consumers agreed they would increase their visit to a restaurant if plant-based pepperoni was available.
Beyond the plant-based pepperoni that previously appeared in US Pizza Hut locations in 2021 – this rollout marks the first time the product is available to foodservice operators across the country.

Beyond Chicken Fillets was developed to help meet the growing demand for pLant-based chicken in restaurants, which the company said was up +1,098% from a year ago.

Beyond said 72% of consumers surveyed indicated a strong interest in purchasing menu items with Beyond chicken fillets, and 56% said they would visit restaurants more often if they offered the product.
Gen Z sleep?
The news comes as investment bank Piper Sandler Beyond Meat reiterated an underperform rating on the share, following research that showed teenage consumers’ interest in plant-based meats is waning.
According to analysts, 42% of Z teens eat plant-based meat or are willing to try, down from 49% in spring 2021. The study also found that teenagers may be less inclined to eat plant-based meats in the future. “Of the 14% of teens who eat plant-based meat, 25% plan to eat less plant-based meat in the next 12 months, up from 23% in our 2022 teen survey and 16% in spring 2021,” the analysts said.
Among other brands, the firm found Impossible was the most preferred plant-based brand among teenagers, with a preference of 39%, followed by Beyond Meat at 34%.
“Giving operators more options”
For its part, Beyond hopes that the introduction of Beyond pepperoni, chicken fillets and steaks will generate new excitement at restaurants.

Beyond Pepperoni, Beyond Chicken Fillet and Beyond Steak are now available at DOT Foods nationwide.
