The veggies are rotated here and there depending on my mood and what’s in the fridge (more suggestions below). But that’s my goal. How to prepare the best veggie pizza recipe:
- Mix the pizza dough. After letting the yeast rise and kneading the dough, you need to let it rest for about 30 minutes. This is just enough time to make the sauce and prepare the ingredients for the topping.
- Make the pizza sauce. Start by softening the garlic in a little olive oil in a small saucepan. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Allow to cool slightly.
- Prepare your topping ingredients. Grate the cheese and cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
- Stretch the dough. Quarter the dough. With lightly oiled hands, pull and stretch the dough into a thin, even circle. Place the dough on a pizza pan, stone, or baking sheet. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on the dough and top with cheese and vegetables.

For the best homemade pizza, keep these tips in mind:
Bake in a very hot oven. The hotter the better! If you are using a pizza stone, you can place the stone in the oven while it is preheating. CAREFULLY transfer your pizza dough to the hot stone using a pizza peel or flat baking sheet. This creates a nice, crispy crust.
Don’t add too many toppings. It can be tempting to think “more is better”. And while I would usually agree (about veggies), too many veggies give off too much moisture and you end up with a soggy crust.
Bake on the lowest shelf. This also ensures that the crust gets a nice brown color and the pizza cooks evenly.

- 2 cups warm water
- 2 tablespoon dry yeast
- 1/2 Cup oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 5 cups Flour

- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 28 ounces may crushed tomatoes
- 6 ounces may tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Italian spice
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

In a food processor fitted with a dough hook, combine the yeast and water and leave to rest for a few minutes until bubbles form.
