But in retrospect, it makes a ton of sense. Doenjang jjigae, or Korean soybean paste stew, is not only comforting and delicious, it’s one of the simplest recipes in my arsenal. It is an absolute staple of Korean cuisine and known for its rich, savory flavors, along with its hearty fillings.
