These French Toast Muffins are really easy to make and a wonderful treat! These are a great addition to any breakfast or brunch and my family loves them. These little muffins are soft on the inside and deliciously crunchy. We used French bread for these muffins, but they’re very versatile. You can use sourdough, croissants or whatever you prefer. The
Ingredients needed for French Toast Muffins:
French bread
eggs
condensed milk
Brown sugar
vanilla extract
maple extract
Cinammon
Ground nutmeg
granulated sugar
powdered sugar
maple syrup
These muffins would be wonderful during the holiday season. These are made all at once, which is a lot easier than making French toast in a pan. You can double this recipe for a larger group and add lots of tasty toppings. You can always make these in muffin cases if you want to display them on a neat tray for brunch etc.
- Top up with honey instead of maple syrup
- Toss some pecans on top before going in the oven
- Add some strawberries as soon as they come out of the oven, then dust with powdered sugar.

Baked french toast muffins
These Baked French Toast Muffins are so easy to make and wonderful for any gathering
Servings: 4 portions
- 12 slices of French bread You can use any bread you like
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups condensed milk
- 2 tablespoon Brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon maple extract
- 3/4 teaspoon Cinammon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
sprinkle:
- 2 tablespoon white granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinammon
To serve:
- powdered sugar
- maple syrup

Cut the bread into 2.5 cm cubes. Bread should be dry or stale bread.

You can dry your bread cubes by spreading them out on a baking sheet and placing them in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.

Whisk together the eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla and maple extracts, 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg in a bowl.

Put the bread cubes in the bowl and let the whole mixture soak up. Place bread cubes in a greased or greased 12-cup muffin pan.

Whisk together 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over the bread cubes before baking in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.

To serve, dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with maple syrup.
