Tuna salad on a pumpernickel bagel

ingredients

4 pumpernickel bagels

6 ounces canned tuna, drained

1/2 cup finely diced onion

1/2 cup finely diced celery

1/4 cup mayonnaise

4 slices of American cheese

4 large iceberg lettuce leaves

directions

Combine tuna, onion, celery, and mayonnaise in a medium bowl.

Halve the bagels and lightly toast them under the grill.

Place a slice of cheese on each warm half of the bagel.

Divide the tuna salad evenly among the 4 bagels.

Garnish with a lettuce leaf and half a bagel.

Serve it with your favorite side dishes like pickles, tomato slices in fries.
