Ingredients for Air Fryer Shrimp

  • Shrimp: We used large, raw shrimp, deveined with the tail still attached. You can use medium shrimp or jumbo shrimp if you like, but you may need more egg wash and panko mixture.
  • Salt pepper: The salt and pepper really bring out the flavor of the shrimp. Don’t skip it!
  • Paprika: This spice adds a little heat kick that tastes amazing with the breaded shrimp.
  • lemon juice: A bit of citric acid is great to balance out the spicy and savory notes of this dish.
  • Panko Crumbs: Panko gives the shrimp a nice, satisfying crunch that you can’t get with other breadcrumbs.
  • Parmesan cheese: A little cheese takes this air fryer shrimp recipe to a whole new level.
  • eggs: Eggs act as a binder so the breadcrumbs adhere seamlessly to the shrimp.

Next, Dip a shrimp in the egg wash and drain excess egg from the shrimp. Place the shrimp on a plate and sprinkle with the panko mixture until evenly coated.

Then Dip the shrimp a second time through the egg wash and repeat the breading process. Place the shrimp on a plate. Repeat until all shrimp are coated.

Pro tip: We highly recommend breading the shrimp on a plate rather than directly in the bowl of panko mixture to avoid the mixture becoming soggy and sticking to the shrimp.

AIR FRY SHRIMP

Drizzle olive oil on the bottom of the air fryer and place the shrimp in the air fryer. Be careful not to let the shrimp touch each other in the air fryer.

Air fry the shrimp for 2 minutes, then turn the shrimp and fry for another 2 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the air fryer and repeat the process until all of the shrimp are golden brown and cooked through.

SERVE + ENJOY!
