The air fryer isn’t a way to make egg salad, but this is how I do it! It’s so easy to make hard boiled eggs in the air fryer – you don’t even have to add water!

While you can cook hard-boiled eggs on the stovetop, have you ever considered cooking them in the air fryer? It cooks the eggs to perfection, making it a quick and convenient way to enjoy this classic dish. Ingredients for Air Fryer Egg Salad

This easy egg salad only has six ingredients. Here’s what you need!

  • eggs: Use eight eggs for four servings.
  • Mayo: You can use regular or light mayonnaise.
  • spring onions or chives finely chopped
  • Spices: Sweet paprika, salt, pepper

The time it takes to air fry eggs may vary depending on the make and model of your appliance. Test an egg to find the best temperature and time for your model.

How to make Air Fryer Eggs

  • Air Fry Eggs: Place the eggs in the air fryer basket and set the temperature to 250°F. Depending on your air fryer, cook for 15 to 17 minutes until eggs are hard-boiled.
  • chop eggs: Take the eggs out of the machine and run them under cold water. Peel the eggs and cut into small pieces.
  • Prepare egg salad: Mix mayonnaise, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Add the eggs and chives to the mayo mixture and stir. Garnish with peppers and chives.

What to serve with the egg salad

This classic egg salad recipe can be enjoyed on toast or a bagel for breakfast, or in a wrap or sandwich for lunch, or over a salad. Sometimes I just eat it straight out of the container with a spoon!

Variations:

  • No air fryer, no problem! Hard boil eggs in the Instant Pot or cook on the stovetop.
