Abbott’s Butcher, maker of clean-label plant-based protein, announced the debut of its “Chorizo” and Chopped Chicken’n at all 370 Sprouts Farmers Markets across the United States.

The natural retailer will carry the product in its refrigerated case. Made with 100% whole food ingredients, Abbott’s Butcher Protein is free of soy, gluten, preservatives, natural and artificial flavors, canola oil and the top nine allergens. The products are also non-GMO project verified and the first plant-based meat line Get full 30 approvals.
“Launching with Sprout is an incredibly exciting step for us,” said founder and CEO Kerry Song. “There is an undeniable shift in how consumers are thinking about their food and they are actively seeking out foods made with ingredients that truly nourish their bodies. Top growing refrigerated brands
Abbott’s Butcher is the only brand among the top 10 in the refrigerated plant-based meat category to show positive growth over the past 4, 12, 24 and 52-week time frames, according to SPINS data. As consumers call for greater transparency and cleaner labels, the company says, its products are attracting increased attention.
Founded in California, Abbott’s Butcher products can now be found in more than 3,000 retail stores, including Sprouts, The Fresh Market, Fresh Thyme and Select the target and whole food markets. In 2021, the company was shut down Successful series A round which included participation from actors and investors Wayne Wilson and Woody Harrelson.
