WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED:
- 24 ounces frozen pre-cooked meatballs (whatever you prefer – beef, turkey, chicken, pork)
- 12 ounces frozen bell pepper and onion mix
- 4 tablespoons peanut oil
- about 1 ½ – 2 cups homemade sweet and sour sauce (or bought)
- Optional: sesame seeds
Homemade sweet and sour sauce:
- ½ cup brown sugar
- â…“ cup ketchup
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- ¼ cup of water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch

HOW DO I MAKE STIR-FRY SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS?
STEP 1: Start making the homemade sweet and sour sauce. In a small saucepan, heat brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic. Stir constantly until the sugar has melted and everything is well mixed.
STEP 2: In a separate bowl, whisk together the water and cornstarch. Pour the mixture into the saucepan and continue to simmer over low heat until your sauce begins to thicken. It should cover your spoon but not be too thick. *Feel free to add more cornstarch if you want a thicker consistency.
STEP 3: Now make the pan. In a large, deep skillet, begin to heat the peanut oil. Add your frozen meatballs and continue cooking until browned and tender.
STEP 4: Add the frozen vegetables and continue to simmer until no longer frozen.

STEP 5: Stir in the homemade sweet and sour sauce. Cook for another 5-10 minutes. Remove from the stove and garnish with sesame seeds.
This Sweet and Sour Meatball Skillet is a delicious dinner that beats any takeout. Serve with rice or pasta for the ultimate weeknight dinner.
