What is all bagel spice?

Everything Bagel Seasoning is the delicious, chunky, savory seasoning you’ll find on Everything Bagels, but without the bagel! It was first popularized by Trader Joe’s when they released an Everything But the Bagel Seasoning to be sold in store.

All bagel seasoning goes into pretty much everything these days! Our recipe uses all the classic whole spice ingredients, but uses far less salt so you can control your sodium!

What’s in all bagel spice?

You only need 6 whole ingredients for this all-bagel spice recipe:

  1. white sesame
  2. black sesame seeds
  3. dried chopped garlic
  4. dried chopped onion
  5. Poppy
  6. Coarse salt

Our spices have a lot less salt than the kind you buy at Trader Joe’s. So, keep that in mind when subbing our spices. Feel free to add salt as needed!

How Much All Seasoning Should I Use?

Wondering how much of this spice to add to your meat, dips, or roasted veggies? Our recipe calls for much less salt than the bagel condiments you can find at the store, which means you can use as much as you like without it getting too salty!

For 1 pound chicken: Start with 1 tablespoon but use up to 2.

For soup: Add 1 tablespoon.

If you end up wanting more salt, feel free to add it after you’ve seasoned your dish.
