Air Fryer Longganisa Frittata recipe

Deliciously flavorful and vibrant, I loved making this Air Fryer Longganisa Frittata. For those unfamiliar with frittatas, this is very similar to your omelette, except we use the extra ingredients by mixing them into our eggs instead of folding them. In addition, we usually use different types of cheese, vegetables and meat for this Italian dish.

Longganisa Frittata Recipe

And to give it that satisfying Pinoy twist, let’s use some delicious Longganisa! This helps add a touch of sweetness while making our meal that little bit more filling.

How does Air Fryer Longganisa Frittata taste?

Aside from the meat component, we have a few other simple ingredients that will help enhance the flavor of our egg mix. A nice, satisfying crunch is achieved with some paprika. And for a deliciously irresistible cheese note, we use cheddar cheese. This is a commonly used type of cheese for good reason. It has just the right amount of saltiness and once melted it’s gooey, soft and perfect for any type of dish!

Of course, we mustn’t forget our green peas either, which are a perfect little addition of subtle sweetness and nutritional value. Because peas are rich in various nutrients such as zinc and fiber.

How to make Air Fryer Longganisa Frittata

Longganisa Recipes

1. Prepare eggs and longganisa

  • Slicing Longganisa – Start with 6 pieces of CDO Skinless Longganisa that you previously cooked. Now halve each.
  • Mixing the Eggs – Now take 6 eggs and then crack them in a large bowl. Beat them thoroughly so that everything is perfectly mixed. Now sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • Adding more components for our eggs – Then we can add 1 bell pepper that we chopped, ½ cup frozen green peas, as well as ½ cup cheddar cheese. Finish things off by mixing them all together!

2. Air fry the frittata

  • Mixing the Meat into the Egg Mixture – Scoop up some of your egg mixture from earlier and place this in your silicone air fryer mug. Now add two slices of longganisa on top.
  • Cooking the Frittata – It’s time to place the cup in the air fryer and then fry it for 15 minutes at a set temperature of 190°C. This may take less time, so just keep watching your eggs to make sure they don’t get overcooked.

3. Serve the Air Fryer Longganisa Frittata

  • Serve the dish – Remove the cooked frittata from the cups of your air fryer, then place on your serving dish of choice.

And that’s it! Good job making this dish. Wasn’t that quick and easy? For this reason, I also really enjoy working with recipes that use the air fryer. And more often than not, we get something that’s less oily and a little healthier than meals we cook on the stovetop.

What to serve with Air Fryer Longganisa Frittata

Bacon Frittata

Enjoyed this tasty egg treat? Why not make another one, this time with some crispy, delicious bacon? This is a recipe I would certainly recommend if you’ve already tried our air fried dish above. It requires a few more steps and ingredients to make, but the whole process is definitely worth it. Our mix of potatoes, tomatoes, fresh basil and naturally spicy cheddar makes for the most inviting and utterly healthy breakfast dish alongside our Longganisa Frittata.

Fried longganisa rice

Speaking of longganisa, if you still have more of that ingredient left, here’s a great dish to cook and eat with your frittata. Longganisa Fried Rice has just the right amount of saltiness and garlic flavor to make it perfect as a solo meal. But it also goes well with slightly lighter ulam or dishes like frittatas. And like our main recipe above, it doesn’t take many components to put this together. In fact, most of these ingredients — like soy sauce, cooking oil, and rice — are probably already in your kitchen! Come and try to recreate this with me!

Breakfast sausage hash

After all, since frittatas are a perfect breakfast dish like our omelette, why not come up with another perfect early morning recipe? This breakfast sausage hash is a fantastic side dish to any type of egg-themed meal. So you can expect it to complement our Longganisa Frittata perfectly! Another plus is that it’s so incredibly cheesy due to the use of two types of cheese – salsa con queso and shredded cheese!
