This is another factor that can really speed up the process. We’ll be using a ready-to-cook ulam burger for the meat, which makes this quite good as a quick fix for a packed lunch too.

How does Pinoy burger steak taste?

While the burger patty plays a big part in this dish, there’s another component we really can’t underestimate. Our mushroom sauce is responsible for a large part of the flavor of this dish and helps set it apart as a pinoy burger steak dish. It’s made with the rich flavor of beef bouillon and Worcestershire sauce, and gets its lovely, velvety texture from the butter and flour.

Mixing it into our Ulam Burger, enriched with some roasted garlic, makes the perfect dish for any time of the day! I may have recommended that this be a lunchtime meal, but it’s also great for energizing you in the morning and serving as an evening meal.

I think we’re good to go – let me break down the steps for you!

How to cook a pinoy burger steak

1. Cook the burger patties

  • Heat Oil – Get 1 tablespoon of cooking oil and pour it into a pan. Apply some heat and just let your oil get hot.
  • Incorporating the Meat – Simply add 6 CDO Ulam Burger Patties and sear. Turn them over once one side is already cooked.

2. Creating the mushroom sauce

  • Working with the Butter and Mushrooms – For this part of the recipe we will need 3 tablespoons of butter. Put this in a saucepan and then let the butter melt with a little heat. After that, you need to put ¾ cup of mushrooms in it. Fry these together for just 1 minute.
  • How to Achieve the Best Sauce Consistency – Now we need to incorporate 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour. Stir this into the mixture until it becomes lumpy and then you can pour in 1 ¾ cup of water. We start stirring again and stop when the mixture becomes nice and smooth.
  • Seasoning the Sauce – It’s time to add 1 beef stock, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, and your preferred amount of salt and ground black pepper. Mix these thoroughly into your dish.

3. Assembling the Pinoy Burger Steak

  • Serving the patties – Put 3 cooked burger patties on a plate. Then add 1 cup of cooked rice for that too.
  • Add sauce – We then drizzle our lovely, savory mushroom sauce on top. Then garnish with 3 tablespoons roasted garlic and 1 tablespoon chopped parsley.

And now you have some delicious plates of classic Pinoy Burger Steak yourself! But if you really want to fill up, I have a few suggestions for dishes to have with your burger steak!

salmon patty

Three tasty burger steak patties are definitely enough for one meal, but I’d still recommend trying this variant if you’re a seafood lover. Adding some delicious salmon patties would certainly enhance your meal. Plus, it can have a nice blend of sweetness and acidity with the perfect mix of mayonnaise and ketchup for a sauce. This can also be a perfect breakfast dish if you happen to have toast and eggs at home.

Crispy Homemade French Fries

You can definitely enjoy your burger steak more with some perfectly salted crispy homemade fries. Because even without a burger steak, we often get cravings for this extremely endearing side dish. Also, a pretty big perk is that you already have some mushroom sauce in our main recipe, which tastes great with this crunchy treat!

Ensalatang manga

And just to reinvigorate the palate and add a nice acidity to your table, be sure to have some Ensaladang Mangga too! While we often pair this with grilled dishes, it also works great with rich sauce recipes like this one. Another great thing about it is that it’s really healthy. After all, it has tomatoes, calamansi, and green mangoes in the mix! And it doesn’t take too long to create. It actually takes you less than half an hour to conjure this up. That’s because you mainly prepare the ingredients by just cutting and mixing them together.
