When it comes to canning, many people choose to go the easy route when cooking. Because what’s inside often only needs a little heat to make it ready to serve. But you can also get creative with this type of food and end up with something rich and exciting for the taste buds. That’s the beauty of corned beef saute, made with a few simpler ingredients like onions, corn, and carrots for a good variety of textures and flavors.

How does corned beef saute taste?
Because we work with corned beef, which itself has a hearty flavor, you can expect something that’s nicely salted and tastes perfectly meaty. But we mix in some garlic, onion and butter for a little more depth as well as an irresistible buttery quality to the beef. What I also like about the corned beef, which is famous in the Philippines, is that it is very convenient to eat. Since the meat is cut into flakes, it also goes well with other delicacies such as our green peas.
And while I’ve described this recipe as a way to get creative with your corned beef, you don’t have to worry about a complicated cooking process. It’s just a few simple steps to making this corned beef saute. We will mostly just mix our ingredients together while, as you might have guessed by the name, sautéing them. Let’s start then!
How to make corned beef saute
1. Fry the garlic and onion
- Melt Your Butter – We’ll start by adding our 2 tablespoons of butter to a skillet. Apply some heat so we can melt this.
- Add Garlic and Onion – Once your butter has melted it’s time to incorporate 3 cloves of garlic that you chopped. Also put 1 onion that you chopped in the pan. Just sauté everything until the onion is nice and soft.

2. Cook the corned beef
- Adding the CDO Home Style Corned Beef – Simply open your can and add the contents to the pan as well. We’re going to sauté this with your garlic and onion for just 1 minute.
3. Fry everything with some more vegetables
- Incorporating Other Ingredients – Now we need to add 1 carrot that we diced, ¼ cup whole grain corn and ¼ cup green peas. Then let everything cook for about 3 to 5 minutes. Be careful not to over-brown or overcook the food.
- Seasoning the Dish – For our final step, we just need to sprinkle in as much salt and ground black pepper as we like.
- Time to Serve – Place your dish on a serving plate of your choice. Make sure you have this along with freshly cooked rice.
