Applesauce Banana Bread – The Southern Lady Cooks

Applesauce Banana Bread - The Southern Lady Cooks

Applesauce Banana Bread is one of our favorite banana bread recipes because it’s so moist, keeps in a cool place or refrigerated for several days, and is great with morning coffee or as a snack with milk anytime. The recipe can be doubled to make 2 loaves of bread and kids love it just as much as adults do. We love banana bread and bake it at least once a week!

Applesauce Banana Bread Simple Ingredients Needed:

all purpose flour

baking powder

baking soda

Salt

eggs

applesauce

White granulated sugar

buttermilk

bananas

Cooking oil (I use rapeseed)

You can use sweetened or unsweetened applesauce in this recipe. I sweetened, but either will work just fine. You can also add nuts. I’ve made this many times, sometimes adding pecans and sometimes not. This bread is really good and a wonderful way to use bananas.

“Just made 2 smaller loaves, will freeze 1. I added chopped walnuts to the batter. I used regular applesauce since I had that on hand. I love your recipes!”

You too will love this treat Maple Banana Bread! It’s a very popular recipe and easy to prepare. We probably have close to 15 banana bread recipes on our site. Just use the search box on any page to look for banana bread.
