Can you improve on the basic Tim Tam? It’s a controversial idea, but this 3-ingredient Tim Tam Balls recipe attempts to do just that!

Tim Tam Ball’s recipe

This recipe is adapted from the one that appears on Arnott’s website.

I swapped out the coconut for 100s & 1000s or choclettes – so they would be a bit more fun and because my kids HATE coconut.

Otherwise, it’s the same simple 3-ingredient recipe.

What are those 3 ingredients?

  • Tim Tams – a whole package
  • Condensed milk – half a can (make some mayonnaise with the rest, add to your cereal, or just spoon it into your mouth when no one is looking)
  • 100’s & 1000’s or Choclettes – you can always use grated coconut the original way, and I’ve also seen recipes that suggest rolling in Milo or cocoa.

This recipe makes 18 balls, so if you’re cooking for a crowd, adjust the amounts accordingly.

How to Make Tim Tam Balls

It only takes 10 minutes to make these cute little snacks, however the mix will take some time in the fridge.

Here’s how to make these no-bake Tim Tam Balls in 6 easy steps:

1. Process or flash tim tams until finely shredded.

2. Add condensed milk and stir to combine.

3. Place the mixture in the fridge for at least an hour so that the mixture is firm enough to roll into balls.

4. Remove the mixture from the fridge and use your hands to roll tablespoons of the mixture into smooth, round balls.

5. Roll balls into 100 & 1000 or choclettes and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

6. Place the balls in the fridge for at least an hour to set.

Store your Tim Tam Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for several months.

Enjoy them as a special treat after dinner, at a party, or whenever you need a tim-tam fix.

Are they better than plain Tim Tams?

Well, it’s hard to do better than perfect, but these Tim Tam Balls are certainly a fun way to enjoy your favorite cookies.
